About ARV Solutions

Jim Roach, owner and Managing Director of ARV Solutions founded the business in 2003 after managing and growing other technical and construction recruitment agencies. Previously five years as General Manager at a medium sized south west based recruitment agency in construction, manufacturing and technology sectors. Also Regional Manager in the 1990s a national construction agency where he recruited and trained a team starting with just two, to around twenty - several of whom went on to senior roles themselves or are now also running their own businesses.

Through establishing ARV Solutions Jim had the freedom think and act differently about providing staffing solutions, and to really innovate, leading to our radically different business model, breaking away from the sales focused, high fee, and often mixed service perception of many recruitment agencies to one that works for clients and candidates too.

Our aim is to attract new clients by reputation and referral, and to keep and develop these relationships to mutual benefit. By implementing the highest standards of service, the best recruitment technology, innovative solutions, particularly in leading the way in internet based methods, coupled with competitive fees we are delivering on this.

We recently measured that:

90% of our business is now with repeat clients
almost 50% of this is with clients who have recruited five or more staff from us

Five years down the line we are still here and thriving, in our recently acquired larger offices in Westbury-on-Trym and with a small and established team of four that we aim to further develop soon.

While other agencies are laying off many of their overly sales oriented staff we have been able to maintain business levels through both loyal long term clients and increasing numbers of approaches from new clients looking for a professional staffing solutions provider.

Our goal for 2009 / 2010 is to maintain our standing as the leading agency in the offsite construction sector, further broadening our client base, to continue to develop clients across construction, technical and manufacturing sectors, and to bring our model to further related markets addressing renewable energy and sustainability issues.
