As a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer, could you be managing the design team within the Engineering Consultancy Division of this large private company?
You will have the opportunity to manage design and draughting work on wide ranging and interesting building projects including major steel structures and landmark construction projects. Our client, a multi-disciplinary construction / engineering manufacturing company, is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with management ability to take on a team and project design responsibilities.

You will play a significant role in managing the budgets and programmes for the design phase of structural engineering projects, working with the design team to develop concepts for buildings into comprehensive design drawings both for approval by customers and for detailing by the design team.

This is a responsible position, where you will be working with construction clients, your own team of Design Engineers and Technicians, and suppliers, inputting innovation and value engineering during the design development, as well as optimising quality and health and safety.

In addition to your professional qualification, you will have solid civil engineering and construction experience and up-to-date knowledge of British and European standards and Building Regulations. You will also have experience in running civil / building construction projects and teams and regular liaison with clients, contractors and architects.
