We seeking a Quantity Surveyor with procurement / Buying skills for a Commercial Manager role with an advanced eco housing company, based in Gloucestershire.

We are working closely with a new eco housing company, part of a major group, to put together the key members of their technical and management team. We are now seeking a talented professional with a Quantity Surveyor background, along with skills to also carry out estimating, buying / procurement for specialist eco homes residential / housing development schemes. You will be working within the management and construction team, and dealing with external sub contractors, suppliers and clients helping drive forward this exciting new business, and with key input to the commercial management of projects.

This major and well funded Group have developed a range of environmentally sustainable building products and solutions that they are now incorporating in their own housing developments of highly rated eco housing projects (Including photovoltaics, heating & lighting systems and advanced ICF Structural systems - Insulated Concrete Formwork). This truly innovative company has a strong business model to really move their ideas forward, even in a tough market, and are further supported by extensive international business on varied building and development projects.

They are initially developing their own housing sites in the UK, cutting out the developers, thus allowing increased profitability and implementation of their own eco credential systems and commercial efficiencies more effectively. They are intending to create eco homes with a substantial wow factor at very realistic costs. They are also strongly promoting these eco homes to Housing Associations in the UK.
