After spending my early years in a variety of businesses covering retail, manufacturing, insurance and sales, in 1989 I started in construction recruitment at the peak of the late 80s boom, and quickly experienced recession times too – which I’m certain has been invaluable experience to gain early on!
Since then I have held senior management roles within a national construction recruitment agency, taking the South West and Wales region from small beginnings to building a top performing team – quite a few of whom went on to run their own agency, or hold senior posts in other recruitment businesses. From there I went to managing a multi-disciplinary recruitment business that taught me far broader recruitment sectors, including manufacturing and engineering. Having taken them through Investors in People and developed the team further, I realised my destiny lay in running a business of my own, where I could implement a new philosophy I felt was overdue in recruitment.

I set out to recruit in the more challenging niche engineering and construction markets, and early on, having been introduced to a timber frame manufacturer, discovered the world of offsite construction and not looked back.
In my spare time I watch my kids playing rugby now, rather than stomping around myself, and am a bit of a barbecue obsessive.
These are exciting times at ARV Solutions with ever increasing demand, and businerss levels growing year on year. We have a strong and growing team, who have recently attained Investors in People Gold Accreditation, and plan to continue to grow the business, servicing the offsite sector and broadening into related sectors.
