Major Timber Frame Manufacturer

The business was undergoing significant change and development reacting to the changing market and needed to make its timber manufacturing plants more efficient and cost effective. They had been trying to bring in lean manufacturing methods for over a year without great success. 

The brief was to source an experienced manufacturing professional with extensive man management skills, as well as strong Lean Manufacturing experience to move straight into a major change environment and bring about successful change, bringing the team with him wherever possible. After working with numerous agencies on previous roles, we were awarded this assignment on an exclusive basis, with an enhanced fee recognising our unique position to source someone, and the client’s commitment to ensuring an successful outcome.

  • Vacancy instructed mid November 
  • Resourcing and advertising commenced within 24 hours
  • Initial interviews carried out in late November and early December
  • Emphasis of role changed (more senior level required) so re-advertised and searched throughout December sending short list in 
  • Further Interviews first two weeks of January, resulting in accepted offer and start on 1st February. (Total 7 interviews)
