ARV Solutions was established as a specialist recruitment agency by Jim Roach in 2004, following 14 years main-stream recruitment agency experience recruiting across technical roles in construction, manufacturing and engineering.

ARV Solutions was established very much with a service led business model, where we would put significantly more time, investment and strategic thinking into traditional, emerging and innovative recruiting methods across niche market sectors. “I was really frustrated at the widespread perception that the recruitment industry was too pushy, offered at best a mixed quality of service, for high fees. A sales lead approach persisted in the industry and this worked well for agencies – but less so for candidates and clients.”
Our primary aim at ARV Solutions has been to grow through repeat business and referral, gained through providing successful results for clients, combined with interesting and added value marketing efforts. “We genuinely aim to Add Real Value in what we do – this is what ARV stands for”. (It worked! - we maintain repeat or referall business levels at over 90%, despite developing new clients every month).
Based in Bristol, we recruit across the whole of the UK as well as International markets, specialising in filling jobs in construction, manufacturing and technical recruitment, with our particular specialism as the leading recruitment business for the offsite construction sector. We are experienced in recruiting from Graduate level through to the Chief Executive. We are pleased to have been selected to run recruitment related training for the DWP and Jobcentres and to have recruited for some of the largest companies through to innovative new start ups.
We have been fortunate to attract a highly experienced and growing team of staff to the business, each taken on for their love and passion for the industry, recruitment skills and potential, along with the desire to work ethically and professionally in an environment where we prioritise successfully filling jobs as the primary performance indicator (and we keep them here with free bacon or sausage sandwiches every week!). We have plans to grow the team further and broaden our coverage, with the same service and quality led approach.

As well as our people, we have invested in a combination of systems and software that we truly believe is hard pushed to be bettered anywhere in the industry. The advanced recruitment software package we use was even implemented by a certain well known record company entrepreneur to track their galactic applications! (Our MD, Jim Roach was asked to provide their initial training). We have world class accurate CV processing software, the most advanced Job posting tools, a new advanced interactive website, with the increasingly important mobile version, the latest software for our servers and PCs. We have always taken a lead in innovative means of recruiting, from understanding effective job board advertising, through to the effective use of social networks for recruiting: our offsite construction group on LinkedIn now has over 1000 members.
