Major UK company seeks Maintenance Engineer for its manufacturing facility in Oxfordshire.  This is a great company to work for, with the benefits you would expect from a large UK Group.  Read on to see the full list of benefits.


As Maintenance Engineer, you will be:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities for a range of plant and equipment 
  • Assist the Group Maintenance Manager in the development and maintenance of accurate financial budget for service/maintenance, as well as analysing current equipment against future requirements.  You may be required to develop capital justification for new equipment/modification
  • Using CMMS system which will record service/breakdown history and identify and reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager areas of risk mitigation and continuous improvement
  • Working with the Group Maintenance Manager, coordinate maintenance activities of contractors, ensuring full compliance with health & safety and company processes and procedures
  • Acting as building custodian, being main key holder for ‘out of hours’ issues


About you:

  • Qualified from apprenticeship in electrical and/or mechanical discipline, able to demonstrate strong fault finding and controls / software skills
  • Able to demonstrate skills in electro-mechanical maintenance
  • Experienced in scheduled software patch updates to industrial PCs, then monitoring for any issues arising
  • Good communication and problem solving skills, experienced in the coordination and management of subcontractors
  • Able to plan, develop and implement the upgrading of plant/equipment/machinery


Experienced with:

  • PLC control systems
  • PC based controls
  • SCADA systems and HMI programming
  • Industrial data connectivity/OPC solutions 
  • Data networks (fibre and UTP/STP cables)
  • Servo drives and frequency inverters
  • Industrial robots and their associated controls systems
