ARV Solutions have been instructed by a leading Offsite Construction Manufacturer to source an Estimating, Business Development and Bid Management Professional to oversee tender submissions for projects across Healthcare, Education, Residential and Student Accommodation sectors. Our client design, engineer, manufacture, supply and install a variety of building structures from SIPS panels. SIPS are a growing area of offsite construction for the many benefits they bring. As a leading player in this market this employer has seen a strong pick up in workload, particularly on larger projects and therefore are looking to bring an experienced bid manager into their team.


This varied role will see the successful candidate taking a lead on bid preparation and presentation to potential customers. Strong commercial acumen and a working knowledge of the modern construction landscape are essential. Working as part of a close knit team, candidates can expect ongoing contact and liaison with sales, design, estimating, manufacturing and commercial departments whilst working together to produce winning bids. With a varied customer base ranging from Public Authorities to Private Developers the successful candidate will possess first rate interpersonal skills together with a strong degree of technical knowledge within Offsite Building Systems and the wider construction market.


The Role:


  • Overall management of the entire bid process
  • Managing bid preparation and presentation for high value projects
  • Liaison with internal departments and stakeholders
  • Meeting with customers to articulate proposals
  • Managing a pipeline of bids ensuring that they are on track and timescales are met
  • Maximising on internal relationships to ensure you are constantly aware of the business and its capabilities
  • Produce clear, concise and compelling bids


The Person:


  • Highly organised, motivated, customer focussed and ethical
  • A background within a commercial construction role (preferably in estimating)
  • A construction related degree is preferred
  • Excellent commercial and business acumen
  • An enthusiastic, strong communicator
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A knowledge of the Offsite Construction marketplace and systems


The Package:


  • Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per year
