Senior Design Technician
Full time, permanent
** Use your Revit skills in beautifully designed buildings
** Get involved in how your designs are put together
Experienced Design Technician required for a Developer who is part of the "offsite construction revolution" - offsite is changing the game in the UK housing market and this company is fully backed by the UK's leading influencers within the modular sector. It's making some serious waves within the UK construction sector, as a high-profile organisation where its competitors are watching and waiting for their next move. They are going through a period of growth and are seeking a Senior Design Technician to provide a technical design and implementation service in line with the modelling and creation of relevant design drawings.
Your responsibilities will include liaison with external consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors, ensuring models are compliant and utilising the document control processes.
You will be joining a team that is growing, and will be one of the more experienced, reporting directly to the Design Manager. This role is likely to involve considerable communication with the manufacturing side of the business, so this is not a job for a shrinking violet!
You will need to be able to demonstrate your Revit skills and you will also be familiar with BIM Level 2 / BIM 360, and if you are able to use AutoCAD and Navisworks this would be of particular interest. Your experience is likely to be from a timber frame, modular building, light gauge steel frame environment, or at the very least, be able to produce 3D models and detailed drawings. If you have had some exposure to BIM Level 3 we would also be keen to talk to you.
If you're an experienced Design Technician with good Revit skills, and you like what you have read above, please apply today. You will be joining an exciting growing business, with a brand that is very much on trend with current housing design. You are welcome to call if you have any queries or would like to talk to us before applying - please call Sue or Craig on 0117 959 2008. Your call will always be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
