Our Client is highly regarded by architects, engineers and developers for the quality and utility of their cross laminated timber construction products. They are overrun with orders and are in the process of expanding operations to cope with growth right through Australasia. This is a terrific opportunity to join a market leader riding an enormous growth curve but experiencing the need for significant technological and manufacturing development and change.
You will be working in Nelson, the sunniest region in New Zealand and the centre of excellence for engineered timber, reporting to the Commercial Manager. You will hold the responsibility of bringing surety in customer support, by informing clients about the product, previewing and costing each design and assisting with closing details. In addition, you will check drawings from and liaise with clients over design issues, attend on site meetings and have an involvement in managing projects. You also get to assist with the development of new products, all making this a busy and challenging role.
The successful applicant must be a qualified and registered structural engineer. They should be organised, methodical and have a natural ability to manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail, as well as the skills needed to communicate and cooperate with people. Furthermore, you must have at least three to five years post-graduation experience and be capable of pointing to a successful career history in your industry sector. Experience in civil and/or structural engineering would be preferable.
